We Develop Soft Materials for Hard Problems

Welcome to the Liu Research Group! We are an interdisciplinary research group led by Xinyue Liu in the Department of Chemical Engineering & Materials Science at Michigan State University. 

We aim to develop soft and adaptive materials to tackle the challenges of human health and climate change.  To achieve our research missions, 

• we design the multiscale structures of soft materials

• we study the mass transport and mechanical deformation in soft materials

• we fabricate high-performance soft devices and adaptive systems
